Absolutely fabulous. They did works at my Dad's place and even though I am some distance outside metropolitan Adelaide they still came, on time and did an amazing job. The staff were very passionate about their jobs and for who they work for and it shows in the quality of the work delivered. I never thought I would be impressed by stump removal service.

We had multiple quotes to have some gumtrees removed and trimmed. Tree Tech SA was the only company to take photos, fully inspect the area and work we wanted done and was able to split the job with our neighbour.

Great pricing and the whole team did a great job over two days and left everything as they found it. All wood was cut to fire wood size for us to split. Highly recommend and will be using their services in the future.

Frequenly Asked Questions - FAQs

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO REMOVE MY TREE?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions. Unfortunately we cannot give an approximate cost over the phone without viewing the tree.

Every tree, its location, age and condition are different.Price is based on the size, the method required to do the work, the location for accessibility, proximity to overhead lines and roads and any other structure of significance.

Free, written quotes and hazard assessments allow us to answer all your questions.

DO YOU REMOVE ALL THE WASTE FROM SITE?

Yes, all tree cuttings and timber are removed from site. Occasionally we are asked to leave the mulch or firewood.

DO YOU GRIND STUMPS SAME DAY AS TREE REMOVAL?

Stump grinding is usually carried out within 48 hours of a tree removal, but when a request is made for all work to be completed on the same day, we will endeavour to accommodate this.

IS MY TREE SIGNIFICANT?

A regulated tree is any tree in metropolitan Adelaide, Adelaide Hills Council townships and parts of the Mount Barker Council with a trunk circumference of 2.0 metres or more (measured at a point 1.0 metre above natural ground level).

In the case of trees with multiple trunks, regulated trees are those with trunks having a total circumference of 2.0 metres or more and an average circumference of 625 millimetres or more (measured at a point 1.0 metre above natural ground level).

A significant tree is a regulated tree in metropolitan Adelaide, Adelaide Hills Council townships and parts of the Mount Barker Council with a trunk circumference of 3.0 metres or more (measured at a point 1.0 metre above natural ground level).

In the case of trees with multiple trunks, significant trees are those with trunks having a total circumference of 3.0 metres or more and an average circumference of 625 millimetres or more (measured at a point 1.0 metre above natural ground level).

Some trees may be exempt from regulated and significant tree controls because of their location or their species.

Contact your local council to find out if the regulated and significant tree controls apply in your area or if a tree is listed in the council’s development plan.

WHY SHOULD I PRUNE MY TREES?

Trees need to be pruned for a number of reasons including: safety, aesthetics and tree health. Broken or dead branches can be dangerous if they fall – often without warning.

If a tree’s branches grow too big for the tree or are too close to your roof or chimney, they need to be pruned and cleared to prevent them from damaging your home. From an aesthetic perspective, pruning can help make a tree look better or provide you with a better view of your property or outlook. If you are thinking about pruning a tree, be sure to use a qualified Arborist. Unskilled and uneducated workers can damage your trees and property.

WHEN IS APPROVAL REQUIRED FOR PRUNING MY SIGNIFICANT OR REGULATED TREE?

Approval would be required in the following cases.

Where the pruning would remove more than 30% of the tree crown (and is also required to remove dead or diseased wood or to remove branches that pose a material risk to buildings or areas frequently used by people).

Where the pruning is to remove branches that are not dead or diseased or to remove branches that do not pose a material risk to buildings or areas frequently used by people.

Where the pruning of roots would affect the health and appearance of the tree.

DO I NEED APPROVAL TO REMOVE A REGULATED OR SIGNIFICANT TREE THAT IS DEAD?

No approval is required to remove a dead tree
